I bought one six years ago and haven't had any problems with it. Having 2 cats and a dog in the house things can get pretty hairy. This vacuum will suction up all the hair with one quick swift across the room. The Oreck is so light, 8 pounds, I can even vacuum the steps and sofa with just one hand. It is a little pricey at about $300.00 but well worth it. Plus, for free along with my purchase I got a cordless iron and a cordless little vacuum.I gave this vacuum two thumbs up!
